McGregor used these quotes to explain what motivated him during the difficult chapters of his life. McGregor incurred a brutal leg injury during the Dustin Poirier fight at UFC 264.

The injury saw McGregor snap his tibia, which has kept him out of action for more than one and a half years; however, the Mystic Mac, of late, has shown massive recovery and is looking to make a return in 2023.
There has been much speculation about McGregor’s comeback and who he will face on his return. Rumors are brewing that McGregor might also finish his trilogy fight with Nate Diaz in a boxing match. However, nothing is official as yet.

With Diaz having completed his contractual obligations, the much-anticipated fight is conjectured to take place outside the promotion. Diaz even called out McGregor for failing in the world of boxing in his post-fight interview at UFC 279

The Stockton native said, “Conor McGregor didn’t know how to do it and none of these other fighters know how to do it.”
The Irishman, in his classic style, didn’t shy away from replying. He took to his Twitter to answer back Diaz. In the statement, the Notorious said that he’s the reason behind Diaz’s fame and he should respect him.
“I would love to fight him for a third time.”

He said, “Your nothing without me. Respect, please. I’d slap you around handy. And Tony easy. I’d have sawed Tony in half. 2 ham ball heads. Respect the king.”

For now, fans expect Diaz to make his boxing debut against Jake Paul and then focus on Conor McGregor. Meanwhile, the Irishman is already well versed in boxing and has competed against Floyd Mayweather Jr in the most lucrative bout in the history of combat sports.
McGregor and Diaz were involved in one of the most high-profile rivalries in the UFC. The Californian handed McGregor his first loss in the UFC via submission at UFC 196, moreover, what was really shocking was that Diaz stepped in for the fight on just 10 days’ notice.
