90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days star Jasmine Pineda, who is vocal about her struggles with anxiety, is highlighting Mental Health Awareness Month.
Jasmine Pineda, star of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, took to Instagram to highlight May as Mental Health Awareness Month. As 90 Day Fiancé fans tuned in each week to witness the latest drama unfold between Jasmine and Gino Palazzolo, both garnered quite the social media following. On several occasions, Jasmine utilized her ever-growing platform to show vulnerability regarding her battle with anxiety, which affected her both mentally and physically. This month, she’s hoping that mental health struggles can become a normalized, less taboo topic of discussion.
Throughout Before The 90 Days season 5, Jasmine experienced numerous tense moments with older boyfriend Gino, who traveled from Michigan to Panama meet her. A prime example was when Gino sent screenshots of private, suggestive photos of Jasmine to his ex-sugar baby. But this wasn’t the first time Jasmine was betrayed by a man. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise star previously revealed that her ex-husband cheated on her and got another woman pregnant. Jasmine was already suffering severe hair loss after the birth of her own son. However, Jasmine’s divorce caused anxiety, leading to even more hair loss. “I could see patches in my head where there was no hair at all,” Jasmine said. “It gave me more anxiety and made the problem even worse.” This is why she wore a wig on the Tell-All episodes.

At the start of May, Jasmine reminded her 120K followers that it is Mental Health Awareness Month. “I would love to emphasize that mental health is a human experience,” the 90 Day Fiancé fan favorite commented. “Symptoms and circumstances of mental health concerns come in nearly unlimited variation. But they are, above all, a normal part of being alive. We must care for not only our bodies, but also our emotions and thoughts.” Jasmine included a number of inspirational quotes about mental health, including one that she penned herself: “I don’t struggle with anxiety. I battle against anxiety, and I will always give it my best fight.”

Fans and franchise alums alike flooded Jasmine’s post with messages of support. Her Before the 90 Days co-star Mahogany Roca commented, “How’s life Jazmine? I send you a hug…” Many of Jasmine’s followers voiced their own stories of mental health struggles and applauded her for being open about hers. One 90 Day Fiancé fan said, “Thank you for always being so vulnerable, transparent and real.” Another told Jasmine, “You are beautiful inside and out and I love how you tell it like it is, you don’t hold back.”
Though many viewers wanted Jasmine to leave Gino after he sneakily showed off her body to his ex, she seems to truly love him. Currently, the 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days couple is gearing up for Jasmine’s pre-approved K-1 visa to be finalized so that she can move to the U.S. Hopefully, Gino is understanding of Jasmine’s anxiety and takes steps to help her feel at ease. While Jasmine’s jealousy and skepticism about Gino’s whereabouts can be off-putting, her untrusting nature is understandable given her ex-husband’s past deception. It’s something that took, and continues to take, a major toll on her, and is likely something she never wants to endure again.
